Upham Village Design Statement (UVDS) – Draft Consultation
Upham Parish Council has submitted the Upham Village Design Statement (UVDS) to the South Downs National Park Authority and Winchester City Council to be considered for adoption as a Supplementary Planning Document.
We are now carrying out a public consultation on the draft UVDS as required under the Local Planning Regulations of 2012. Following this, the two local planning authorities will need to consider whether to adopt the UVDS for their own planning purposes respectively, taking account of the issues raised in the consultation.
As most of the UVDS area is within its local planning authority area, the South Downs National Park Authority is leading on the joint public consultation and all responses will be co-ordinated by them.
Please note that, although the South Downs National Park Authority is leading on the public consultation process, the consultation is on the UPVDS as a whole and both authorities will consider any comments made.
The public consultation will run for a period of 6 weeks from Monday 11 November 2024 (starting at 09:00am) to Monday 23 December 2024 (closing at 23:59pm).
Please submit any comments and representations to the South Downs Planning Authority by this deadline, ideally using the link below:
